I absolutely love Muse. I listened to them before they were on the Twilight soundtracks & now can't imagine a Twilight soundtrack without them. I am ecstatic about all of the new artist on the Eclipse soundtrack, The Bravery, Metric, & Band of Horses are my absolute favorite bands. And though I'm really glad they're on the soundtrack I kind of like it the way it is now...they're pretty much unknown to other people besides the ones that really appreciate indie alternative music & like them for who they are & not just because they're involved with Twilight. Being on the Twilight soundtrack catapults you into the spotlight & sometimes once bands get that big & famous they tend to drift away from why they were really doing music to begin with. Anyhoo enough of my rambling...I tend to go way over board when talking about music so you'll just have to tell me to shut the fuck up.

LA Twilight Convention
Rob, Kristen, & Taylor will be attending the Twilight Convention in Los Angeles June 11-13. I would give my right arm (or any other body part required) to be able to go to this. I'm not sure what would happen if I was in the same room as Rob & I definitely wouldn't be responsible for my actions. I can see it now, if I got within touching distance of him I would HAVE to run my hands through his hair & then I wouldn't let go because it obviously is gonna feel like I've died & gone to Heaven. The security guards would run up & Rob would look at me like I was a crazed maniac (which I may or may not be) & the security guards would say, "Rob don't make any sudden movements" You know, like they tell you to do when your cornered by a wild animal..that would be me. LOL They would have to pry my ass off of him. Seriously though, I would LOVE to be able to go to this & there's a big possibility that I may next year. I am a huge procrastinator & didn't plan ahead at all with this & was just aware of the dates, so I'll need to start planning now for next year's convention.

Eclipse Soundtrack Released
Myspace.com/Music is releasing the Eclipse Soundtrack today starting at 8am PST/11am EST & will be posting a new song every half hour. So, that means the entire soundtrack won't be finished until 3pm PST/6pm EST...whose idea was it to torture us all fucking day with 1 song every 30 minutes?!
The first one released was Metric & I am so fucking stoked about this! I ♥ Metric something fierce. I can't wait to see what other artist are gonna be on there, we know Muse will be on the list as their song will be the first soundtrack released on radio. I'm hoping for more Death Cab for Cutie, Killers, maybe some new Temper Trap, Vampire Weekend, Silversun Pickups, or The Bravery?? Eclipse Soundtrack Listing to be Released
WOOHOO! I have been waiting on this day for a looong time! The Twilight soundtracks have been one of my favorite things that has came out of the Twilight Saga (besides the books). I think having music to go along with the books you're reading & the movies watched, plays such a major role in how you perceive the movie. I listened to the Twilight & New Moon soundtrack daily & still do, my 2 year old knows the words to some of the songs, & I have drove my hubby bat shit crazy listening to them & singing them (that's always a plus). I'm a huge indie-alternative music fan & love that they highlight some of the new indie artist & bring so many new fans to them through Twilight. One soundtrack title has already been released & is going to be the first single of the soundtrack, Muse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever). Muse is one of my favorite bands EVER & I couldn't even fathom listening to a Twilight soundtrack without them on it. This is going to be a fanfuckingtastic week, Eclipse soundtrack list released tomorrow, & Oprah interview with Rob, Kristen, Taylor, & Dakota airs Thursday. Needless to say, I can't fucking wait!
Myspace announced that the Eclipse soundtrack artists will be unveiled tomorrow starting at 8 AM PT.
They write:
Starting at 8:00 A.M. PT tomorrow morning, we will be announcing each band that will be appearing on the soundtrack for the latest installment of the sink-my-fangs-into-your-neck soap opera, one every half hour. Hope you have six hours to spare! As evidenced by the success of bands such as Paramore—who landed on the first Twilight soundtrack—this is one album that emerging acts will always vie to be a part of.
